A home in Phoenix, Ariz., that was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1952 for his son David and daughter-in-law has been spared the wrecking ball. The home’s owner had planned to demolish the structure in order to redevelop the prime, 2-acre property, but that was met by such an outcry of protest (especially in the architectural community) the owner put the house up for sale instead. It sold for the asking price of just under $2.4 million. The buyer wished to remain anonymous but said he had philanthropic intentions for the property.
