Rick Treworgy’s Muscle Car City
If you’re a car guy or gal, specific to GM models, Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda, Florida is the place to see. With over 99,000 square feet of classic cars spanning 80 years of makes and models, Muscle Car City is one of the largest automotive memorabilia stores anywhere.  You will even find the Muscle Car City Diner, a retro 1960s style diner including homemade ice cream for dessert.

Owner Rick Treworgy started his personal collection at age 17.  At first Rick’s interest in old cars was purely economics, but as time passed he found a certain charm in old cars. He bought, sold, and restored those cars keeping his hobby alive. After 40 years, and a collection of over 200 vintage 1950s to early 1970s, mostly Chevrolet muscle cars, Rick opened the Muscle Car City Museum to share his world class collection with others.
Rick’s Corvette collection includes one or more of each year from 1954 to 1975 and several of each series from 1975 to 2014. The classic collection boasts GM performance cars from 1957 to 1972 Camaros, Chevelles, El Caminos, Big Block Impalas, Pontiac GTOís, Oldsmobile 442ís, and a huge assortment of Hot Rods and antique Chevy’s. If you ask Rick what is his favorite, his reply is always, “the next one I’m going to buy!”
At Muscle Car City, you can also bring in your hot rod or muscle car to the Muscle Car, Rod & Performance Shop for restoration or other automotive needs. If you are looking to purchase your own muscle car, check out the Car Corral for hot rods and other high-performance vehicles for sale.
Along with the museum is one of the largest automotive memorabilia and gift stores, which offer a variety of vintage and modern automobile collectibles. The store selection includes licensed apparel, vintage signs, diecasts, toys, and jewelry.
Muscle Car City also hosts a monthly Car and Bike Show every third Saturday with live entertainment, trivia, and door prizes. Trophies are awarded to the five Top Choice entries. A Relay for Life Benefit is scheduled for November 7, 2015 and The Living Well with MS Charity Car Show will be held on December 12, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both shows include trophies, music, a 50/50, and door prizes. Make sure to check the website for other upcoming benefits and shows.

Muscle Car City is currently located at 3811 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda. Coming in October of this year, Muscle Car City is proud to announce its new location at 10175 Tamiami Trial in Punta Gorda. Scheduled to open in December at this same location is a new Antique and Memorabilia Store.
