An untitled late-surrealist 1945 painting by Gordon Onslow Ford (Am./Brit., 1912-2003), sold for $95,200 at an auction held May 30-31 by Clars Auction Gallery in Oakland, Calif. Also, a yellow diamond and near-colorless diamond ring with a rectangular modified brilliant cut diamond weighing 7.52 carats finished at $71,400; a pair of bronze Allegorical Maquettes by Daniel Chester French (Am., 1850-1931) realized $47,600; and an untitled work by Giorgio Cavallon (Am., 1904-1989), from 1948, hit $38,675. Prices include a 19 percent buyer’s premium.
