A Howard & Davis astronomical regulator clock sold for $151,250 at a Cataloged Auction held May 30 by Fontaine’s Auction Gallery in Pittsfield, Mass. Also, an R. J. Horner mahogany grandfather clock chimed on time for $60,500; a one-year Biedermeier Laterndluhr wall regulator fetched $36,300; a French industrial water wheel clock garnered $30,250; a Juvet table-top time globe made circa 1883 topped out at $19,360; and a glass dial mystery clock attributed to Robert Houdin changed hands for $16,335. Prices include a 21 percent buyer’s premium.
