A fall landscape painting by T. C. Steele sold for $16,800 at a sale of the collection of former Secretary of State Alexander Haig, held April 12 by Kaminski Auctions in Beverly, Mass. Also, Haigís 1995 S320 Mercedes Cabriolet coupe convertible, with just 37,000 miles, sped away for $14,400; an 18kt yellow gold Patek Philippe watch hammered for $3,600; an 18th or 19th century Italian ebonized Renaissance Revival cabinet hit $9,600; and an antique Chinese enameled silver necklace, 60 inches long, made $6,600. Prices include a 17 percent buyer’s premium.
