WCHS to Hold Jailbird Antique Festival

The Wayne County Historical Society’s Museum of Wayne County History will be holding the Jailbird Antique Festival Saturday May 2. This year there will be a preview party on May 1, from 5pm-7pm.  Apart from all of the great antique vendors in the museum and under the tent on the lawn,  also onsite from 10am-2pm will be Antique Appraiser, Jackie Spiegel. Visitors to the Jailbird Antique Festival may bring 2 items to be appraised for $3 per item. Proceeds for the appraisals will benefit the Wayne County Historical Society.
While browsing the varied antique from the onsite dealers, you can also enjoy lunch and a wine tasting. Fumie Thorpe from Thorpe Vineyards will be pouring Jailhouse Wine from 11-2pm. Bottles of Jailhouse Wine and other Thorpe Vineyard wines and gift packs will also be available for purchase. Lunch will be available from 11-2pm and desserts and coffee all day long. This is also volunteer recognition day and WCHS volunteers will be treated to a luncheon in their honor.
Some of the dealers on site will be Tughill Peddlers with primatives, small furniture and glassware; Jay Hyland with estate jewelry; Karen Le Van with small furniture; Pam Lee with antique furniture and household items; Bob Young with a variety of antiques; Lockwood’s Old Time Stuff with varied antiques; KLA Pure Antiques with small furniture, antique books and cameras.
