A late Victorian giraffe piano in art case harp form, mahogany with gold leaf, signed Frank Teupe, 8 feet 9 inches tall, one of only seven made, sold for $26,450 at an auction held April 9 by Stevens Auction Company in Aberdeen, Miss. Also, a gorgeous, heavily carved full tester bed with canopy gaveled for $10,350; a 1936 Ford sedan with all original interior, recent paint job and new tires sped off for $15,900; and a rosewood rococo parlor cabinet attributed to J. & J.W. Meeks, circa 1850, went for $2,185. Prices include a 15 percent buyer’s premium.
