A George Nakashima (Am., 1905-1990) Sanso “Reception House” table and six conoid chairs sold for $187,500 at a Design Sale held October 8th by Freeman’s Auction in Philadelphia. Also, a desk designed by Louis Kahn (Am., 1901-1974) and realized by Alexander Woodwork Company of Philadelphia in 1950, made $33,750; and a Louis XVI desk designed by John Vesey (Am., 1924-1992), once owned by former Philadelphia Flyers and Eagles owner Jerry Wolman rose to $32,500. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
