Frederic Remington’s famous bronze sculpture titled Bronco Buster sold for $510,000 at an auction held Sept. 15-16 by Brunk Auctions in Asheville, N.C. Also, a 3-D study by Henry Moore titled Maquette for Spindle Piece (1968) hit $312,000; a painting by Eugene Boudin titled Fecamp, Le Bassin (1892) climbed to $288,000; a still life of hollyhocks by Russian-American artist Nicolai Fechin earned $264,000; and Jane Peterson’s Fishing Boats, Gloucester, Mass., went for $120,000. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
