A Samuel Colt cased presentation model 1862 police revolver sold for $460,000 at a Premiere Firearms Auction held Dec. 1-3 by Rock Island Auction Company in Rock Island, Ill. Also, a Winchester model 1873 “One of a Thousand” rifle rang out at $448,500; a Singer model M1911A1 pistol hit the mark for $414,000; a Philippe Grifnee engraved and inlaid pair of Royal Deluxe over and under shotguns in 28 gauge brought $299,000; and a prototype “Baby” Luger fetched $92,000. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
