A Canadian 1940s single-sided porcelain sign for Black Cat Cigarettes, 50 1/4 inches by
46 1/2 inches, sold for $24,517 at a General Store Advertising auction held Sept. 14 by Miller
& Miller Auctions, Ltd., based in New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada. Also, a circa 1920s Argentinian Quilmes Cristal Beer single-sided convex porcelain sign gaveled for $22,826;
and a Canadian 1920s Five Roses (“The World’s Best Flour”) single-sided porcelain sign rose to $21,981.
