Nye & Company to Auction Stradling Study Collection in September

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. — August 1, 2024 —

Nye & Company Auctioneers will present a two-day Chic & Antique Auction on September 9 – 10, featuring one of the most anticipated American ceramics offerings of the season. At the heart of the sale is the Stradling Study Collection, comprising more than 100 lots of American pottery and related material assembled by Diana and Gary Stradling, the celebrated New York City antiques dealers whose expertise in early American ceramics has long been respected by collectors and scholars alike. The collection is being marketed in partnership with Connor Rush of SFR Antiques.

Beyond the Stradling holdings, the auction presents a broad and distinguished sweep of American and European decorative arts. Bidders will find Vermont Federal furniture, painted country pieces, British portraiture, sporting art, Old Masters, modern prints, and contemporary design, making the two-day event a significant destination for collectors across multiple categories.
