A watercolor and ink on paper by the renowned American artist Andrew Wyeth (1917-2009), titled Bert’s Cabin, sold for $138,000 at a Summer Fine Art & Antique Auction held Aug. 29-30 by Thomaston Place Auction Galleries in Thomaston, Me. Also, an oil on canvas painting by James Taylor Harwood (Am., 1860-1940) brought $60,375; an oil on canvas work by William Trost Richards (Am., 1833-1905) realized $49,450; and a rosewood New York Classical period drop-leaf work table gaveled for $46,000. Prices include a 15 percent buyer’s premium.
