BB King’s beloved, stage-played “Lucille” black Gibson ES-345 prototype limited edition guitar, gifted by Gibson to King for his 80th birthday, sold for $280,000 as a sale of property from King’s estate held September 21st by Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles, Calif. Also, King’s collection of original 78 rpm blues records fetched $51,200; and a brick “from the grandstand where Elvis Presley performed at the 1956 Miss.- Ala. Fair & Dairy Show” gaveled for $22,400. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
