A scarce McLoughlin Bros. Bulls and Bears – The Great Wall Street Game, patented in 1883, sold for $20,740 at an Antique Toy Auction held Dec. 7-8 by Pook & Pook, Inc. (along with Noel Barrett) in Downingtown, Pa. Also, a Doll & Cie painted tin Ferris wheel steam toy realized $21,960; a Roullet & Decamps clockwork tiger on a ball nodder made $14,640; a late 19th century painted giltwood pretzel trade sign brought $2,500; and a Carpenter cast iron fire pumper hit $3,660. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
