An important George V 18kt yellow gold London Freedom Casket by Mappin & Webb, Sheffield, sold for $68,750 at an Elegant Home Auction held Feb. 27-28 y Bonhams in Los Angeles. Also, a magnificent German Baroque walnut secretary from the first half of the 18th century sold for $45,000; a pair of French gilt bronze-mounted champlevé enamel and porcelain vases reached $31,250; and a whimsical Coney Island carousel horse by Charles Loof galloped off for $23,750. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
