The 1986 DH Pontiac Firebird two-door hatchback KITT car owned and driven by actor David Hasselhoff sped away for $152,600 at a Hollywood Legends Auction held April 11-12 by Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills, Calif. Also, a pair of rhinestone earrings Marilyn Monroe wore to the film premiere of the 1955 movie The Rose Tattoo gaveled for $185,000; a 1952 Marilyn Monroe Photoplay award climbed to $100,000; and a John Rhys-Davies screen-used Gimli double-headed ax commanded $149,000. Prices include a 25 percent buyer’s premium.
