A rare and beautiful Brown’s Celebrated Indian Queen figural bitters bottle patented in 1868 sold for $14,375 in Auction #64, an internet and catalog auction held Oct. 13-22 by American Bottle Auctions of Sacramento, Calif. Also, a Lafayette DeWitt Clinton half-pint lime green flask brought $10,925; an Italian Soda Manufactory (S.F. Glassworks, Phila.) bottle went for $6,325; and a Dr. Wynkoop’s Sarsaparilla bottle, circa 1850s, one of about 20 known), rose to $7,150. Prices are inclusive of the buyer’s premium.
