A folk art rendering by Minnie Evans, titled Face, sold for $30,000 at a Self-Taught, Outsider & Folk Art Auction held April 25-26 by Slotin Folk Art Auction in Buford, Ga. Also, Caballero by Martin Ramirez went for $44,000; a double-sided work by James Castle realized $30,000; Sunrise by Kathy Jacobsen brought $29,400; Summer by Mattie Lou O’Kelley garnered $27,600; God by Elijah Pierce rose to $24,400; Hitler Meets God by Mariah Bush made $21,600; and Jo by Sam Doyle topped out at $19,200. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
