Results of Recent Auctions From Near and Far

A Navajo classic period child’s wearing blanket, mid-19th century, with cochineal and indigo dyes, sold for $93,750 at a biannual Art of the American West and Turn of the Century Design auctions held June 19th by John Moran Auctioneers in Monrovia, Calif. Also, a late 19th or early 20th century Winchester “Double W” ammunition advertising board fetched $25,000; and a pair of Shop of the Crafters “Mission Morris” chairs, manufactured circa 1910, hammered for $8,750. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
