A Ruser diamond solitaire ring, set with a 9.08-carat step-cut diamond, sold for $461,000 at a Fine Jewelry Auction held June 17 by Bonhams in New York City. Also, a diamond solitaire ring, set with a cut-cornered rectangular step-cut natural faint pink diamond of 7.09 carats flanked by tapered baguette-cut diamonds, achieved $293,000; a ruby and diamond brooch designed as an orchid earned $161,000; and a Van Cleef & Arpels diamond, ruby and turquoise “Clip Danseuse” brooch (1943) rose to $221,000. Prices include a 20 percent buyer’s premium.
