An 1875 Wells Fargo reward poster for “Alkali Jim” sold for $10,200 at an auction held January 25^th by PBA Galleries in San Francisco, Calif. Also, a copper-engraved chart of the Straits of Singapore from 1711 realized $6,600; a collection of about 92 glass lantern slides and other related photographs, postcards and a diary changed hands for $6,600; and a manuscript edition of The Writings of John Muir, edited by William Frederic Bade, with numerous plates, made $5,100. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
