A ‘Ghost Trap’ film prop used in the films Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989), based on an idea by actor and comedian Dan Aykroyd, sold for $71,390 at an auction held Nov. 13-15 by Hake’s Auctions in York, Pa. Also a Star Wars: Droids – Vlix encapsulated action figure, released only in Brazil in 1988, AFA-graded 60 EX, changed hands for $45,430; and a Star Wars Death Star Canadian special-offer cardboard playset, AFA graded 85NM+, went for $31,801. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
