A collection of 30 original glossy photos, many unpublished, vividly documenting the fatal car crash site of Hollywood actor James Dean in 1955 sold for $22,498 in an online auction held Aug. 8-15 by RR Auction, based in Boston, Mass. Also, a copy of Led Zeppelin’s debut album, signed by all the members of the band, realized $22,956; Jimi Hendrix’s bronze Ming dynasty Buddha went for $19,327; and a BBC 1973 vintage photo signed by the members of The Who brought $15,000. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
