A watercolor by Ogden Pleissner depicting a rail-shooting scene on the Delaware River sold for $51,000 at Guyette & Deeter’s July 24-25 sale. The composition, originally published in Harper’s Weekly in 1890, captured the sporting-art tradition prized by collectors of American wildfowling art. The nearly 600-lot sale drew strong participation across two sessions. Also, a sixty-inch four-person racing boat model with shaped sliding seats
realized $6,000.
