Vintage Walter Moorcroft Hibiscus Pattern Vase.
This beautiful vase features a Hibiscus flower pattern on an ivory background. It measures 8.25 inches high, with a bottom radius of 3.5 inches and a top radius of 3″. The vase has the typical crazing associated with a vase almost 50 years old but has no chips, cracks or damage.
This pattern was introduced after World War II, but this particular vase is dated between 1953 and 1978.
On the bottom of the vase is a Royal Warrant Paper Label which reads “By Appointment Potters to the Late Queen Mary”. Queen Mary passed away in 1953 and Moorcroft used this specific phrasing to honor her memory.
