A rare, circa 1790 New York Federal mahogany musical tall case clock with 8-day works signed “Effingham Embree New York”, sold for $92,250 at an Americana & International Sale held Sept. 30-Oct. 1 by Pook & Pook, Inc. in Downingtown, PA. Also, Mickey Mouse, by Andy Warhol (American, 1928-1987), from the artist’s Myths series (1981), #147/200, hit $196,800; and a bronze fountain Crest of the Wave (1926) by Harriett Frishmuth (American, 1880-1980), rose to $147,600.
