Yonezawa Atom Jet 58 Racer

A Japanese Yonezawa Atom Jet 58 Racer, friction-powered and all original, including its tailfin, tires, and hubcaps, 27 inches long, sold for $47,970 at a Premier Vintage Toy Sale held May 3 by Milestone Auctions in Willoughby, OH. Also, a battery-operated Yonezawa Jupiter Robot with original box, 13 inches tall with correct remote-control battery box, made $43,290; and an Asakusa (Japan) 8-inch-tall tin friction Mighty Atom / Astroboy Motorcycle with vinyl head garnered $25,830.
