Sapphire and diamond ring, $25,600, Crescent City Auction

A lady’s platinum ring, featuring a center-mounted 6.68-carat oval Ceylon sapphire set within a border of round diamonds, sold for $25,600 at a Summer Estates Auction held on July 18-19 by Crescent City Auction Gallery in New Orleans, LA. Also, an untitled (possibly Fold Study) polished aluminum kinetic sculpture by Lin Emery (La., 1926-2021) brought $12,160; and an early 20th century French Francois Linke-style ormolu-mounted marble top marquetry parquetry commode hit $12,160.
