An 18th century Chinese yoke-back armchair sold for $42,700 at a Fall Chinese & American Auction held October 25th by Nadeau’s Auction Gallery in Windsor, CT.
Also, two miniature porcelain Doucai cups brought $17,080; a hardstone fish form brush washer and figure breezed to $8,540; Elisha Taylor Baker’s painting titled Ships at Sunset Coming
to Shore brought 8,540; and a Napoleonic prisoner-of-war bone model of a three-deck ship-of-the-line hit the mark for $8,540.
