Copy of the novel Dune, $24,000, Potter & Potter

A first edition copy of Frank Herbert’s (1920-1986) legacy science fiction novel Dune sold for $24,000 at a sale of Fine Books & Artwork from the George D. Lacy & Louis A. Irmo Collections held November 20th by Potter & Potter Auctions in Chicago.

Also, a first edition copy of Isaac Asimov’s (1920-1992) book I, Robot traded hands at $10,800; and Brevet Major-General Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain’s (1828-1914) The Passing of the Armies found a new home for $6,000.
