A cobalt blue blown cream jug molded in a baroque pattern designated as GV-14 by George and Helen McKearin, circa 1830, sold for $7,605 in a Glass & Lighting Auction held May 19-20 by Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates in Mt. Crawford, Va. Also, a New England Glass Company Caryatid figural-stem candlestick in a unique sapphire blue, 9 ¾ inches tall, gaveled for $7,020; and a brilliant medium green vase in the Loop/Leaf pattern, just over 9 inches tall, rose to $5,850. Prices include a 17 percent buyer’s premium.
