A color, semi-gloss photograph of Elvis Presley, inscribed to Ed Sullivan, “To Mr. Ed Sullivan, My sincere thanks to a great guy, Thanks, Elvis Presley,” sold for $19,445 in an online auction held June 25-July 14 by RR Auction in Boston, MA. It was the same photo that was seen on the Sept. 1956 front cover of TV Guide. Presley appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show in September and October 1956, and in January 1957 (waist-up only), for $50,000 for all three performances.
