A 1950 Patek Philippe pink gold perpetual chronograph wristwatch with tachymeter scale and moon phase (Ref. 1518) sold for $1.814 million at The New York Watch Auction held Dec. 9-10 by Phillips in New York. Also, a circa 1970 Rolex Cosmo-graph Daytona (Ref. 6264) watch with “Paul Newman Lemon” dial and bracelet achieved $965,200; and a 2000 F. P. Journe chronograph wristwatch with escapement, power reserve indicator and early “shiny” dial (No. 43/00R) earned $800,100.
