Seaform Persian Basket glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly, $3,000, Helmuth Stone Gallery

A glass sculpture titled Seaform Persian Basket by Dale Chihuly (American, b. 1941) sold for $3,000 at
a Helmuth Stone Gallery auction held in Sarasota, FL. The organically shaped vessel, part of Chihuly’s celebrated Seaform and Persian series, displayed fluid lines and richly colored glass, hallmarks of the artist’s influential studio glass work that has helped define contemporary American glass art. Also, a Peter Max sculpture titled Umbrella Man Ver. II realized $6,500.
