Donald Carapella of Corning, N.Y., likes to collect, research and study old photographs. Recently, he participated in an online auction and purchased a group of old photos. While rummaging through them, he saw one with the name “Edwin Moore” written on it, along with the photographer’s name and “Edmore, Michigan” written on it, too. This piqued his interest and he did a little digging, only to discover the town of Edmore was actually named after the man in the photo, Edwin Moore. But Carapella didn’t stop there.
Thank you Ken for sharing this story. I hope it sparks interest and people research, archive, and share photographs and other historic items they may have.
