Toomey and Co. to Offer Nearly 250 Lots in Great Estates on September 3

A Georg Jensen Rose soup tureen, Inuit sculptures from the Morton Swinsky estate, and custom Elsie de Wolfe furniture from the Fleishhacker House highlight Toomey and Co.’s September 3 Great Estates sale.

Chicago, IL — September 2026 — Toomey and Co. will offer nearly 250 lots on September 3 at 11 a.m. Central in Great Estates, a wide-ranging auction of fine and decorative arts including furniture, sculpture, pottery, lighting, silver, glass, and textiles.

Among the distinguished estate offerings are several Inuit sculptures from the collection of Morton Swinsky, an American bond trader, art collector, and multiple Tony Award-winning Broadway producer. Swinsky’s estate contributes works including Judas Ullulaq’s carved Muskox, estimated at $2,000-3,000. Custom furniture designed by Elsie de Wolfe for the Greene and Greene-designed Mortimer Fleishhacker House, known as Green Gables Estate, south of San Francisco, is offered to benefit the Elsie de Wolfe Foundation. The Fleishhacker lots include a custom chest of drawers with mirror, a writing desk with chair, a pair of custom twin beds, and a dressing table, with individual estimates ranging from $500-1,200.

The silver highlights are led by a Georg Jensen rare Rose soup tureen, model 377B, estimated at $20,000-30,000, and a Chrysanthemum flatware service by Charles Grosjean for Tiffany and Co., estimated at $12,000-18,000. Decorative highlights include a Chinese large Bactrian camel figure, estimated at $8,000-12,000; a Charles Lotton Multi-Flora Mandarin Yellow table lamp, estimated at $2,500-3,500; a Paul Fuller Bubbler jukebox model 1015, estimated at $2,500-3,500; and a Japanese tansu cabinet, estimated at $2,000-3,000.
