A near-perfect 1933 Style B three-sheet movie poster for the RKO classic film King Kong sold for $388,375 at a Vintage Movie Poster Signature Auction held Nov. 29 by Heritage Auctions in Dallas, Tex. Also, a 1942 insert from the Warner Brothers movie Casablanca reached $191,200; a 1928 Celebrity Productions Mickey Mouse stock poster, one-sheet, the only one known, realized $101,575; and a 1938 one-sheet from the early Three Stooges film Tassels in the Air went to a determined bidder for $56,763. Prices include a 19.5 percent buyer’s premium.
