A fine pieced and appliquéd Maryland Lone Star quilt, likely made by Mary Seeds Moon (born circa 1806), the mother of Emily Quail Moon (1844-1906), in Baltimore around 1840, sold for $9,360 at a Textiles & Sewing Auction held July 16 by Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates in Mt. Crawford, VA.
