“The Show Must Go On!” Brimfield
Auction Acres to Hold Show May 12-15
BRIMFIELD, MA – Brimfield Auction Acres, the birthplace and originator of the world-
famous “Brimfield Antique Show,” will go it alone this May in Brimfield with a four-day
show to be held May 12-15, 2021.
Following a devastating 2019 for all the 20+ Brimfield Show Promoters of the collective
“Brimfield Antique Shows,” and the tens of thousands of antique dealers/collectors and local
businesses that welcome the influx of business, the State of Massachusetts and local officials
gave the green light at the end of March for May Brimfield Week to take place. While other
show fields have opted to wait until the July show week to return, Brimfield Auction Acres
is planning to go forward with its May show in the exact field where visionary and auctioneer
Gordan Reid launched “The greatest outdoor antique show under the sun” in 1959.
“It only makes sense that the authentic field that started it all will be the one to kick off
the 2021 show season,” says Kate Corriveau, who with her husband, Rusty Corriveau, are
the owners of the Brimfield Auction Acres show field. “The experience of shopping the
Auction Acres show will be reminiscent of Brimfield’s early days when Auction Acres was
the only show in town.”
Corriveau anticipates its May
show to be one of the biggest
antique shows in New England
this spring, and is planning for
over 300 dealers and thousands
of show-goers. The show will
open on Wednesday, May 12th
at 7 a.m., and run through
Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All social distancing and health and safety guidelines
will be in effect. Ample parking and food will be available.
“Our field has enough acreage and manpower (friends and family) to conduct
the show in a safe and responsible manner,” says Corriveau, “We look forward to
welcoming back friends and fans of Brimfield this May.”
