A factory-engraved Colt SAA Sheriff’s Model built for legendary Western lawman Jeff Davis Milton in 1916 sold for $201,125 at a Firearms Auction held Oct. 1-2 by James D. Julia in Fairfield, Me. Also, a cased 1st Model Colt Dragoon percussion revolver identified to C. H. Bowman of the Tampico Rangers “Veteran of Mexican War” rang out at $181,125; a Freund “Boss” gun Sharps Model 1874 sporting rifle realized $166,750; and a Parker A-1 Special 20-gage with deep sculpted engraving made $166,750. Prices include a 15 percent buyer’s premium.
