Also, a one-of-a-kind show display, custom-made by Reinhold Studio for Oilzum to use at the 1933-34 Chicago World’s Fair, climbed to $38,000; a boxed Asakusa painted-tin and plastic Thunder Robot marched off for $10,200; a Mail Pouch Tobacco tin cutout flange display coasted to $9,600; and a J & E Stevens Pelican mechanical bank (rabbit variation) made $7,800. Prices include a 20 percent buyer’s premium.
