A Kelly Tires porcelain sign (“Lotta Miles”) sold for $88,450 at a Premier Automobilia and Petroliana Auction held July 23-24 in Denver, Pa. Also, a Polly Gas die-cut sign with iconic parrot image rose to $85,400; an Indian Gasoline OPE gas globe with running Indian logo changed hands for $36,600; an Associated Gasoline porcelain sign with logo hammered for $32,940; a Red Hat Motor Oil porcelain sign with logo made $24,400; and a Packard die-cut sign (“Genuine Parts Only”), with logo, hit $23,180. Prices include a 22 percent buyer’s premium.
