Ken’s Korner: Replica of ’40 Ford coupe body for sale
News & Views From the World of Antiques & Collectibles

The 1940 Ford coupe was a huge commercial success and a favorite of hot-rodders in the 1950s. The car boasted a sleek, timeless design and a powerful and innovative (for its time) lightweight V-8 engine. Now, Ford is offering a shiny new bare-steel body of that very same car to collectors for $11,400. Pretty much everything else is sold separately – engine, seats, etc. The shell is built with high-strength steel and has modern rust-proofing, so it’s better than the original. Ford sells similar replicas for its 1965-1970 Mustangs.
