Day I & Day II: Americana & Folk Art: Both sales contain many of the same type of antiques & collectibles including collections of redware, stoneware, woodenware, baskets, trade signs, quilts, samplers, rugs, whirligigs, mechanical banks, grain & color painted boxes, game boards, Audubons, historical items (Day I – a Hingham Encampment w/ history, Day II – rare printed cloth map of Washington DC & silver portrait and memorials of George Washington), family registers & memorials of relatives. Both auctions include some wonderful painted and grained painted furniture and figured wood furniture from the 18th & 19th c., children’s furniture. Paintings by well known artists, Day I includes C. H. Gifford, W. P. Phelps, W. A. Wall, C. Beckett, W. Laning w/ portraits and landscapes. Day II features Howard Fertig’s collection of over 80 silhouettes including Puffy sleeve artist, rare miniatures on ivory in gold oval cases, small portraits (R. Porter, J.
