A circa 1955 ceramic sculpture by Pablo Picasso (Sp., 1881-1973) for Madoura, titled Lampe Femme, sold for $14,400 at a Decorative Art Auction held Sept. 10 by John Moran Auctioneers in Monrovia, Calif. Also, a 1970 Dodge Charger 500 roared off for $23,100; a 1909 orotone by Western photographer Edward Curtis (Calif., 1868-1948), titled Signal Fire to the Mountain God, hammered for $7,200; and a Danish modern “Papa Bear” chair and ottoman by designer Hans Wegner for AP Stolen made $7,200. Prices include a 20 percent buyer’s premium.
