Pair Air Jordan 13S sneakers, $2.2 million, Sotheby’s

Basketball legend Michael Jordan’s 1998 NBA Finals Game 2 Air Jordan 13S sneakers from his The Last Dance season sold for $2.2 million at an auction held April 11th by Sotheby’s in New York. It was a new world record for a pair of sneakers sold at auction and the second-most ever paid for a Michael Jordan item, behind his 1998 NBA Finals Game 1 jersey that sold for $10.1 million in 2022. The Last Dance is a reference to a TV documentary about Jordan.
