A rare Miles double dial walnut cash register (Boston ‘89) sold for $14,850 at an auction held Aug. 26 by White’s Auctions in Middleboro, Mass. Also, a Louis Vuitton steamer truck brought $7,705; four Louis Vuitton suitcases, sold individually, realized a combined $6,325; and a large set of Reed & Barton’s sterling silver flatware in the Francis 1st pattern breezed to $8,050. The auction was recorded for an episode of the Travel Channel’s antique show Baggage Battles. The episode is scheduled to air Dec. 6. Prices include a 15 percent buyer’s premium.
