A jumping horse weathervane with stand made by A. L. Jewel & Company (Waltham, Mass.), 28 inches long by 16 inches tall, sold for $11,115 at an unreserved estate sale held Aug. 29 by Copake Auction in Copake, N.Y. Also, an oil on panel Southwest U.S. landscape painting by Peter Hurd (Am., 1904-1984), 18 ½ inches by 26 inches, gaveled for $5,265; an 18th century Boston bombe mahogany dressing mirror, minus the actual mirror, fetched $7,605; and a vintage Art Deco bar cabinet went for $1,638. Prices include a sliding scale buyer’s premium.
