A fine French fusil de chasse (or hunting musket), with wampum bead decoration, dated 1759, sold for $102,000 at the sale of the 70-year Walter J. O’Connor historical Americana collection held September 26^th by Morphy Auctions in Denver, Pa. Also, an engraved road map powder horn belonging to John Cox (Fort Pitt, Pa.), dated 1764, realized $84,000; and a Francis Pfister folding map of the Hudson River Corridor, dated 1758, with the original map case, went for $84,000. Prices include the buyer’s premium.
